• 5-in-a-Row Game: Another student favorite! Students practice their 1-6 times tables by rolling dice and marking the product on their game board. The first student to get 5-in-a-row wins!
• Domino Multiplication Fact Families: This is a never ending center and a class favorite! Students select dominoes from the pile and write multiplication and division sentences on the recording pages using the numbers of the domino.
• Parts & Wholes (Products and Factors): Students use the visual aide of the part and whole to determine the missing factor or product.
• Missing Factors: Using Dominoes, students identify the missing side of the domino, based on the product provided (the two sides of the domino multiplied together give the product).
• Multiply Dominoes: This is a simplified version of the Domino Multiplication Fact Families. Students are asked only to provide one multiplication fact using the numbers in the domino they select.
• Multiplication/Division Fact Family Bonds: Another never ending, yet engaging center! Students roll two dice and write multiplication and division sentences on the recording pages using the numbers on the dice.
• Number Bonds (Missing Products and Factors): Using a different visual, students discover the missing products or factors in a given set.
• It’s All About Multiplication: Asks students to show their multiplication sentence in 4 ways (Skip Counting, Repeated Addition, Equal Groups & Array) as well as show their understanding of the Commutative property.
• Set Number Cards 1 – 10 (to use with many of these games)
• Flip & Compare: (2 & 3 factor version) A variation on the old card game “War”. Each student flips 2 or 3 cards and multiplies them together. The student with the greatest product wins. The recording page supports students as they learn to write multiplication sentences.
• Roll & & Compare (2 & 3 factor multiplication) Another variation on the old card game “War”. Each student rolls 2 or 3 dice and multiplies them together. The student with the greatest product wins. The recording page supports students as they learn to write multiplication sentences.
• Balance Scales: Students are given 4 numbers and they have to create two multiplication sentences with the same product.
• Patters in Multiplication Book: Have your students create this 12-page reference book. There is one page designated to each multiple 2-12. Students color in the multiples on each hundred chart and record any patterns they observe!
• Multiplication Chart: A great reference tool for students to fill out!
• I Have/Who Has Playing Cards: A highly engaging way for groups of students to work together to practice their multiplication facts!
• True or False: Students cut out several multiplication sentences. They are asked to determine whether the sentences are true or false and paste them onto the appropriate side of the table.
• If you were a Times Sign/Divided By Sign (Based on the wonderful books by Trisha Speed Shaskan): 2 fun activities to accompany these two books!
• 8 Multiplication Math Sentence Searches & Answer Keys (Multiples 2-9)> Just like word searches, students search for 3 numbers in a row that make a multiplication math sentence (e.g. If a student is working with multiples of 7, they could circle the numbers 5, 7, and 35 in a row because 5 x 7 = 35)
